Filmscapes Intermission
was a daily five-minute program focusing on the impact of film music on our culture, including informative details about the music, composer, and film in a concise and engaging format.
It ran from 2006-2007, and aired Monday through Friday at 10:55
a.m. and 6:06 p.m. The program included a short piece of music with some discussion, providing the listener with interesting facts and insights into the composition and use of each piece. Each week focused on a specific theme, with one week of most months focusing on composer birthdays. Building from the reputation of its predecessor, Filmscapes, Filmscapes Intermission allowed listeners to again hear engaging commentary around the film music genre within a shortened time frame.
